Citipointe Live Workshop Curriculum

Workshop to be led by: Aaron Lucas, Becky Lucas and Joel Ramsey.
1. MAIN COMBINED SESSION - “The Ultimate Worshipper”
In this opening session, Citipointe’s Creative Director, Aaron Lucas, presents to us the notion of being “The Ultimate Worshipper”. The importance of prayer, fasting, justice, servanthood and the fear of God as foundational pillars of our worship will be discussed as Aaron unveils the mystery of these five ministry tools and the influential power they have on us as worshippers. These include:
• The ‘Call’ of Worship • The heart motives of Worship • Making our heart worship external
This session is designed for all of us as worshippers, setting the stage for both creative leaders and their team members to be challenged in taking up the call of spirit and truth worship.

2. COMBINED SESSION
Hearing from four key creative leaders of Citipointe’s worship, be inspired to draw upon and learn from their knowledge, wisdom and expertise in the fields of:
• Song choice that reflects the service and church culture • Role of visual production/multimedia in creating an atmosphere of worship • Responsibility of a stage worshipper in the church and community • Delivery of a creative worship service and keeping it relevant
Let the information shared in this session compel us to take our worship to the next level in both our intimate worship moments and on stage in our congregational leadership.

3. PRACTICAL SPLIT SESSION
This session allows for the capacity of our practical worship to be increased with the formation of two streams that discuss the finer details of our individual contributions as worshippers. From the vocalist to the musician and the production technician, we all have the desire to refine our talent and achieve our own level of gifting excellence.
- The Worship Leader and Vocalist
The first stream with Citipointe’s Worship Director, Becky Lucas, highlights the true responsibilities of the worship leader and vocalist in a contemporary worship environment. Let Becky impart a structured yet challenging insight into the concepts of:
• Gifting and vocal specifics • Building the anointing • Keys to leading a strong worship team during a service • Understanding the spiritual dynamic • Leading a balanced lifestyle • Stage presence and congregation interaction
- The Musician and Production Technician
Simultaneously, the second stream with Citipointe’s Director of Band and Techincal Production, Joel Ramsey, will illustrate the practical expectations of music, production and technical members within the contemporary Church.
Areas of importance include: • Knowing your role in the team • Setting the environment for God’s presence to move • Common musician mistakes that can hinder worship • Learning from and moving on to the next service
Both sessions are specifically designed to enlarge our perspectives of the practicalities of our talents and their importance in serving the Church which should not be missed.

4. ELECTIVES
The elective session allows for an even more detailed revelation of the gift with three compelling sessions highlighting the practical responsibilities of a vocalist, musician and production technician in a more ‘hands on’ environment with the Citipointe team.
The Vocalist
The Vocalist Stream will run as a vocal coaching session for those wanting to expand their gift in areas of: • Vocal dynamics • Pitch • Tone • Breathing correction • Choir and Blending • Vocal cues/Raves • Please note – The topics covered will vary due to the time allocations of each specific seminar.
The Musician
The Musician Stream will involve the Citipointe band taking to the stage with their instruments in hand in a dynamic yet practical workshop session. Let the provision of their valuable practical teaching shed some light on common problem areas including:
• ‘Locking in’ with other band members • Following a difficult worship leader and correctly reading vocal and hand cues • Developing complementary riffs and leads • Balancing the ability to follow what has been practiced and taking musical initiative lead in ‘free worship’ moments.
The Production Technician
This stream aims to encourage production crew to confidently understand their equipment capabilities so to successfully incorporate those audio and visual awe-inspiring ‘God moments’ into a service.
Areas discussed will include topics such as:
• Learning to use the right equipment for your Church worship style • Following worship leader cues in practice and during the service • Building the correct atmosphere in the Church through the Production team

5. INTERACTIVE PANEL
In this interactive panel session, we are able to experience the heart and soul of Citipointe worship. Let this time be one of quality interaction where we have the opportunity to ask questions relating to anything - from worship, church and everyday life through to the finer details and workings of Citipointe Live band itself and the songwriting process of their music to date.
Be encouraged to approach the team with questions in these areas, ensuring their deep wells of knowledge and experience are drawn upon for the benefit of our own creative expansion and increase.
